Theog, Shimla District, Himachal Pradesh

A small meadow near Shimla that's a fantastic picnic spot with a 360° view of the Shimla hills.
This ride started from Dhalli in Shimla. We rode out along NH-22 to Sandhu, then took a short offroad section and a trail up to Kanag Devi.
From Sandhu it's about 1 km of offroad and then roughly 2 km of trail to reach Kanag Devi. Once you're up there, you get a lovely 360° view of the Shimla hills. The highway itself is quite busy with traffic, but this little meadow is a great picnic spot.
Just make sure you don't abuse the trail or leave any trash behind. There's a temple that many people worship at in this region, so respect the local values of the area.

Cycling to Kanag Devi
By road: Reach Shimla, then ride out along the national highway (or take a bus) to Sandhu, about 40 km from Shimla. From Sandhu it's roughly 1 km of offroad towards the Kanag Devi temple, then about 2 km of singletrack to the top.
